“For He delivers the needy when he calls, the poor and him who has no helper. He has pity on the weak and the needy, and saves the lives of the needy. From oppression and violence He redeems their life, and precious is their blood in His sight.”
What We Do and Why:If we learned anything in 2017, it was that the number of women who have been sexually abused and marginalized is far greater than any of us knew. In a society that worships the idol of sexual freedom, we continually find new ways to create bonds of oppression. For a number of years Saint Pats has supported Resource Center for Pregnancy and Personal Health which ministers to individuals who find themselves unexpectedly pregnant. Additionally, a number of our members serve either on its board or its Medical Advisory Board. In 2018 we also plan to support Free Our Girls - an organization that serves our community by providing training and prevention programs and providing the networking and resources for those affected by sex trafficking.
